His tasks mainly involved translating texts of a financial nature, specifically audit reports, from English into Spanish. His performance was very good in terms of timeliness and quality of the texts delivered. His eagerness to learn and his capacity to work hard made him perform at a higher level and produce more pages than the average trainee. Pablo also made a significant contribution to the Unit due to his mastery of new computer-based translation tools. Due to his remarkable social skills and enthusiastic approach to cultural differences he adapted very easily to the international working environment and was actively involved in the organization of several institutional events including the Training Day.

Fort de son expérience précédente dans l’enseignement des langues, il s’est très vite intégré dans l’équipe pédagogique contribuant avec ses compétences à faire progresser la dynamique de travail collective qui règne au sein de notre Université. Consciencieux, disponible et réactif, très attentionné avec les étudiants tout en exerçant son autorité, il a toujours été un collègue exemplaire ayant apporté pleine satisfaction au sein du Département d’Espagnol.

Mr. Arribas assumed a variety of responsibilities and roles at the University: he taught introductory language classes for which he prepared his own course materials and activities, supervised and facilitated our weekly language tables, arranged «Cultural Nights about Spain», and went the extra mile to organize cultural events. Mr. Arribas also generously assisted colleagues in Spanish in the department by covering their classes, and offered a wonderful talk about studying in Spain and different aspects of social life. Given Mr. Arribas’ extensive academic and professional experience in translation work, the students and I were eager to learn from him and came away from his talk with many new insights into translation work.

El profesor está muy comprometido y nos incita a hablar. Despierta nuestra curiosidad para hacernos hablar. El único punto negativo es que el curso debería durar una hora, pero a veces no lo hace. Pero creo que está bien así. Una hora no es tiempo suficiente para ver todo. gracias por estos años nos vemos en septiembre, profeso.
